We are deeply saddened by the news that Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People (QEF) will be commencing a wind-down programme after more than 90 years of exceptional service to the community.
Temple Legal Protection has been a proud supporter of QEF for many years, sharing in its mission to empower disabled people and help them achieve greater independence and quality of life. We have witnessed first-hand the extraordinary impact QEF has made across countless lives, and we extend our deepest respect and gratitude to all those who have contributed to its work.
We are especially proud of David’s Pipkin’s involvement as a Non-Executive Director, where his dedication and expertise have supported QEF through both opportunity and challenge. His commitment reflects the values we hold as a firm — integrity, service, and a belief in the power of community.
We would also like to acknowledge the efforts of our colleague Lisa Fricker, who has worked closely with QEF over the years to organise fundraising activities, charity events, and initiatives that have raised awareness and provided much-needed support for the Foundation’s vital work.
At a time when many charities are facing unprecedented economic pressures, we remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting charitable organisations that make a meaningful difference. Our firm will continue to champion causes that uphold dignity, inclusion, and opportunity for all.
Our thoughts are with QEF’s clients, staff, and volunteers as they navigate this difficult transition, and we honour the charity’s remarkable legacy of compassion and impact.
