Are you able to think strategically but also ‘roll up your sleeves’?

The role is pivotal to the alignment of our Business Development, Service Delivery and Relationship Management functions and combines strategy development with hands-on project management and implementation. It is an opportunity for a forward-thinking marketing professional to set the marketing agenda for an innovative and highly-respected, successful business.

The right experience and outlook for this position is vital. You’ll be responsible for creating and implementing the agreed marketing strategy in collaboration with our three product and sales/business development divisions. This involves strong interpersonal skills as you will be working alongside a broad range of professionals, including the Board of Directors, internal teams, suppliers, consultants, key clients, press and other stakeholders.

You will need to be able to interpret our product/service proposition and articulate key messages – developing, articulating and implementing clear marketing plans to further enhance our presence in key market sectors.

You will be proactive and adaptable, have a strong understanding of opportunities and limitations that arise from commercial and regulatory challenges and be able to apply solid marketing experience to issues facing litigation lawyers and insurance brokers.

Specifically we are looking for:

  • Proven technical marketing management expertise within the legal services sector and / or insurance broking sectors.
  • A first class communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills, both internally and externally, able to influence, persuade and collaborate at all levels.
  • A process driven individual with a commitment to integrating the role of marketing into our business and driving it forward with our management team – utilising the relevant feedback and KPIs to measure its effectiveness.
  • The ability to develop strategies through robust analysis of the market and customer requirements to create sustainable competitive advantage.
  • A practical tactician, adept at translating the agreed marketing strategies into clearly articulated marketing objectives and efficient operations.
  • Strategies for database management and marketing resulting in a timely, realistic schedule of direct marketing activities for e-newsletters, mailouts etc.
  • Leadership that ensures consistency in our messaging, communications and content – in terms of our vision, values, branding and corporate identity both in print and online – and makes sure our marketing collateral is aligned with product division and sales requirements.
  • Ownership of our digital/online marketing presence – including website, e-newsletter campaigns and LinkedIn.
  • The ability to determine the optimum channels for a fully-costed advertising programme that co-ordinates with other marketing activities.
  • An organised and self-motivated team player who can develop and implement a fully budgeted programme of events and hospitality – ensuring the desired outcomes are consistent with our business development strategies.
  • A public relations and press communications plan for editorial content – including building relationships with industry journalists and commentators.
